Small Business Networking | Assist My Business - Social Media ...

Assist My Business attended the San Fernando City Chamber Mixer event. ?We will be the first ones to tell you that the energy in this group is there,? says Muris, Marketing Mastermind at AMB. The venue was a delicious southern cook house called Smoke City. Small business owners know that a city chamber is a form of enterprise network established with an objective to further and hasten the interest of businesses. For such a business network to hold there must be a serious group of persons that identifies, creates and act accordingly upon business opportunities. Not to mention providing their guests or ?potential newcomers? with one heck of an experience. ?The main objective when being part of a local city chamber or networking group is to establish lifelong healthy relationships with like-minded business owners.

As a business network that works to see to it that businesses increase their reach and visibility, the chamber of commerce brings business minded people together through fun socials and events. A local city chamber usually works hand in hand with their local government like the mayors and the city councils to come up with quality business initiatives and attractions.

There are so many benefits of networking with local businesses: One of the benefits of being member of the city chamber is having the ability to compete favorably in the market. This helps regulate cutthroat completion and mindless money spending on shots in the dark. It enables people to meet with members of their community. These new members come with their own social spheres or ?spheres of influence?; this ultimately increases the referral potential of a group. Often business owners forget that a lot of the sales process has to do with being human, and hanging out at some of these events will address that.

It is usually easy to know when to join such a group. The bottom line is if the energy feels right! The people in charge may propose a date of when the City Chamber meets to discuss new membership. If you have not done so, take a look at your local chamber of commerce and the available networking groups within your area. You never know who you will run in to until you go!
