Carolina Slammers tryouts The 13u Carolina Slammers Tournament Team. We play weekends only. We will be holding open tryouts for the 2012 spring season. Player must turn 14 after May 1st 2012. Training Martial Arts Training Institute is holding karate classes at Community Baptist Church on Dallas-Stanley Highway. Running

Caped Crusaders against Cancer 5k April 21 on the campus of Gardner-Webb University. The 5k will help raise money to support Aisys Angels, a non-profit entity with the purpose of raising funds for neuroblastoma research. The unique twist of the run is that all runners are encouraged to dress as super heroes to fight cancer. Registration fee is $17 in advance and $20 on the day of the race.
