The history of the Eco-Movement

With the current problems with global warming, deforestation and other environmental problems, you might of thought that environmental protection and eco-friendly ideas of a new movement are to be excused.

However, environmental protection may originate, in order to pursue some of the very oldest civilizations, to announce with the ancient Greeks, Romans and Arabs all philosophers, the importance of protecting and caring for Mother Earth.

Even in Great Britain have environmentally friendly ideasfor centuries. Sea-coal has been outlawed by Edward I, the advocates of pollution and the significant digits for the whole industrial revolution, such as John Ruskin and William Morris, a return to nature and environmental ideas as the risk of pollution from factories and new ones form industrial strongholds began problems of smog and other causes.

During the 50, 60 and 70 different ecological movement started, but most were seen as fringe movements with unique ideasand principles. It was not until 1980 that many of these fringe ideas become mainstream, backed by the threat of decline in the o-zone layer, asked the exhaustion of resources and increased smog in large cities like Los Angeles.

Now, with the problems caused by climate change, scarce resources and a growing population, are environmentally friendly ideas are no longer viewed as marginal. Most of us are now aware that many problems arising for the environment.

Recyclingbecome commonplace and many of our cars and home appliances are made ??to be to reduce the consumption of energy and other environmentally friendly products more popular and also start a big business and politicians to take more responsibility for society and the environment.

The eco movement started with small ideas and actions grew, but in a traditional ideology that save as individuals to recycle if it shows, but environmentally friendly friendly products, energy and thinkthe environment where it is along way to encourage, others to do so can go.
