Jeanine Banks ? Blog Archive ? Food and Drink festival (Southport)

On Thursday 12th May we went to the food and drink festival in Southport Town Centre. We were able to do some food tasting.

We went to the area for chilli tasting and we tried the sweet ones, mind ones and most of all the hottest ones.I have always wanted to try hot chilli pepper and I got what I wanted in a bad way.

On a scale of 1-10, this chilli (Satan?s Sh*t) which is official name; was a 60+. I was meant to taste the amount of the tip of a cocktail stick but I took about 10 times that much.

It was hot on my tongue but it soon passed ( that was not the end). Around 30 mins later; it started to burn in my tummy; I could handle it until it got so bad I couldn?t even stand.

I prayed for the pain to stop, My friend Franklin had to run back to the place I tasted it and asked for a remedy, he was told to get a lot of cold milk. After I drank the milk the pain disappeared. (thank you whole cream milk.)

After that the day went on pretty well, we watched a cook off between two students from Southport College. It was great. Had fun with friend and all.
